The on-line professional sequence consists of three, 6-credit hour classes and student teaching (depending on previous academic work completed, additional coursework may be required in the specific endorsement subject area of choice):

Arrangements are made for participants to complete school-based field experiences for each of the courses in the sequence in their local or nearby school districts. Because these arrangements are made with participating school districts across the state, UNK's on-line transitional teacher certification program is only available to Nebraska residents or those who live within commuting distance to a Nebraska school district and teaching in approved Nebraska schools, and in the following endorsement areas:
Additional endorsement areas may be available upon request from a hiring school district.
