  1. Masters of Troop Leading Procedures to plan, train, and fight IBCT/ABCT/SBCT companies using Combined Arms Maneuver.

  3. Proficient in MDMP for battalion operations to seize, retain, and exploit the initiative.
  4. Proficient in Company-level management: training, CSDP, unit-level maintenance; and displaying confidence and effective communication skills.
  5. Physically dominant leaders capable of developing and implementing holistic fitness programs grounded in the Performance Triad and tailored to their formation’s mission.
  6. Apply critical thinking to understand and realize mission command to build teams, establish shared understanding, issue clear commander’s intent, demonstrate disciplined initiative, use mission orders, and accept prudent risk.
  7. Prepared to contribute immediately with an understanding of the variables that make their future BCT unique with the skills necessary to lead, operate, and employ their assigned platform.
  8. Morally and ethically grounded with Army Values and the Warrior Ethos. They continue to develop the tools to be agile/adaptive, lifelong learners, and are stewards of the Army Profession.

Course Outline

The MCCC prepares students for maneuver company command and staff responsibilities. The MCCC is the premier leader development course at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE). The MCCC focuses on educating students to master the fundamentals of combined arms war fighting at the tactical level. It uses small group instruction and guided experiential learning to educate students on how to think on the battlefield and succeed as future company commanders and staff officers. The principal evaluation tool is oral evaluation which provides students immediate feedback and assesses student tactical decision-making thought processes and abilities. Students are evaluated on their ability to visualize company-level tactical operations and communicate their visualization orally and in writing; mastery of the Troop Leading Procedures (TLPs ); Unit Training Management (UTM); performance as battalion level staff officers in the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP); application of the fundamentals of battalion through brigade level operations; mastery of written and oral communication skills; and through accession and education, further develops Human Performance to lead a maneuver company by setting a high standard in Health and Skill related components of fitness. Finally, MCCC ensures and develops care for Soldiers and Families as well as encourages community outreach within the course.
